Have you ever just wanted to pack your bags and head for the Misty Mountains, as Led Zeppelin would say? Well, I did just that once upon a time. Born and raised in Michigan, I moved to Las Vegas when I was 23. Vegas had a dark elf edge to it with an intoxicating appeal, but just how long can one live in the Under Dark? So, having my fill of Sin City, I moved to Northern California in 1997 and am comfortably settled in my Shire-like surroundings. (Yes, wizards do wonder through.)

I have a journalism degree, so I can always fall back on serving the King as a scribe if I tire of my storyteller act. When I'm not writing fantasy novels, I am chief serving wench, kennel keeper, gardener, and weapons master of my household. Thankfully wet nurse has recently been scratched off my list of duties.
