That's a great list, but I'd also add Ultima IV, Bard's Tale II, Maniac Mansion, It Came from the Desert, and a bunch more Microprose games. Microprose games were great back then. F19 Stealth Fighter for just one example. And of course XCom UFO which you mentioned.
