I did my first public performances in the early 1980s, playing a lot of songs written or made famous by Johnny Cash. I won a talent contest in my home town of Mainz, Germany, in the category of "best singer". That was in 1983. A year later I wrote my first song : "Strange Voice Calling." With another self-penned song, "Just One More Ride," I won another award. Even Johnny Western, legendary singer/composer of "The Ballad Of Paladin" liked the song!
In the late eighties and early nineties, I was featured on local TV various times. "Highway 41", my first professional single, came out in 1989. In the mid-nineties, I retired from the music scene. However, you can still see me performing when the occasion arises, and so people have seen and heard me in many different places all over the world: United States, Germany, France, Dominican Republic.. and on and on!
