Today described as one of Michigan's premier blues and boogie-woogie pianists, Matthew Ball's start in Jazz only began in 2001 after he attended a local boogie-woogie festival. He was so inspired by the performances there, he left his career as an attorney to become a blues & boogie performing artist.

Learning from boogie hall of famer Bob Seeley, protege to Meade Lux Lewis himself, Ball learned quick.

Now called the Gen-X arrival to this uniquely american art-form, Matthew is a living link to this music's originators and is helping to define a new generation's contribution to this treasured American tradition.

Fine piano work!!! My dad was a boogie, blues, pianist in the early years,,Frank Melrose. He was GOOD and I know that he would definitely give you a thumbs up! So do I !!!!
