June Armstead, owner of Body, Soul and Spirit Salon in San Francisco, CA is clear about one of her lifes purposes, beautification. Not your average hairstylist, June specializes in helping her clients achieve and maintain healthy hair.
For more than thirteen years June, a highly skilled cosmetologist, has promoted and practiced proper hair care techniques with her clients. In 2003 after a ten-year search to find a solution for her own traumatic and secret problem of balding. June became a champion for women who suffered from hair loss, I want to do for women what no one could do for me.
Not only has she helped hundreds of women regrow hair that they thought was long gone, but return to them their dignity, self-confidence and grace.
June offers her clients real hair loss solutions. She is not only a licensed cosmetologist but a pre-certified trichologist (trichology is the scientific study of hair, its functions and diseases). Besides mastering the latest hairstyling techniques, she has received extensive training to diagnose and non-medically treat the causes of hair loss and scalp disorders.
With June the process of beautifying hair goes beyond offering topical solutions for damaged or thinning hair, it literally starts at the roots. If you thought doctors and dentists were the only people interested in your medical history or your dietary habits, well think again. Clients desperately seeking help for their hair and scalp problems receive a thorough analysis that may include providing urine and saliva samples.
Junes gift does not stop with treating hair loss. She also caters to that special class of women, fortunate to have a full head of hair but hard to manage hair like African-American women with long, thick or coarse hair, biracial, and multicultural hair types. June gives these women, who are hard to service in a typical salon without using chemicals, the ability to be themselves and helps them wear and manage their hair naturally.

As a servant for a greater purpose, June is an honored volunteer for the Look GoodFeel Better Program® sponsored by the American Cancer Society®. Using her skills and knowledge, she helps women with cancer overcome the appearance related side effects of radiation and chemotherapy by teaching them beauty techniques.
When June is not custom blending hair solutions, she is studying for her Board Certification in Trichology and PhD in Holistic Health. She also enjoys spending fun-time with her niece, nephew and cousins.
