COMMENT SCREENING

As of the 15th July 2008, all Comments, PMs and Video Responses are to be screened by moderators before they are approved, and before BOD sees them. This is to combat inappropriacies such as 'Hater' comments etc. Just have absolute zero tolerance for it now. So, I shall outline the rules.

- Any comments that include threats, malice, personal attacks, or hostile language will be rejected by moderators and the poster will be blocked from posting in the future
- First comments that simply have "first comment" written in them will not be approved. The user will not be banned from posting again.
- Certain videos are exempt from moderation for particular reasons.
- Video Responses that bear no relevance to the original video will not be approved. The responding user will not be banned from posting again.
- Malicious video responses and PMs that bear the same qualities to malicious comments outlined above will not be approved and the user will be banned from posting again.
- Constructive criticism is allowed; this is not a dictatorship. I am not looking to only have positive comments, that would be boring. If you have something constructive to say then it will be allowed, and has been since moderation came into practice.
- Moderation is here to make BOD Videos a more pleasant, mature place. It is not there for anything other than positive reasoning. There is no excuse for inappropriate behaviour on Youtube and if I have a way to combat it - which I do - I will use it. Simple as that. If you are against moderation, you are in support of idiotic comments and inappropriate behaviour.
- As much as some people may oppose, for whatever odd reason, moderation will stay for the foreseeable future.
- I'm afraid it's tough cookies that your communications to me are read by moderators before they are read by me, but I hardly see that as a problem unless you want to, what - flirt with me or something. But that doesn't happen, so - there is no problem.
