Bobby Anthem is a former radio personality and hip-hop music producer. In his career, he has enjoyed some moderate, yet notable achievements.
Early in his radio career, Bobby was shouldered with the responsibility of replacing two legendary personalities at WAMO in Pittsburgh. He was nominated for Pittsburgh RADIO PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR in 2001.
In jiis music career, Bobby has produced songs that have appeared on Billboard charrs and won awars such as THE JOHN LENNON SONG WRITING COMPETITION. His work has gotten praise from such industry heavy-hitters as KRS-ONE, SCARFACE, SHEEK LOUCH, STYLES P, TOO $HORT, E-40, and several WU-TANG CLAN affiliates. Along with the group that he was a member of at the time, Bobby's talent grabbed the attention of legendary producer HANK SHOCKLEE of THE BOMB SQUAD. Shocklee offered the group a DEF JAM recording contract, whiich they turned down in favor of school. Bobby was also given opportunities to work on projects with MARY J BLIGE and BELL BIV DEVOE, but medical and other life issues prevented him from contributing to those projects.
Bobby is currently on semi-retired/extended hiatus from the music business, due to medical issues, his unfavorable views on the current state of mainstream music, and complete interest in doing the best possible job of successfully raising his three beautiful daughters.
