I think what's so amazing about this video is not only John Entwistle's insane bass playing, but also the fact that he's playing like that in 1967. No one had ever played bass like that, cutting through the mix so much, at that point. And Entwistle was the first to do it.

@pretorious700 I realize the movie isn't real, and they didn't actually kill a dog and a cat. My point is that there's no "mystical wonder" about this movie. There's nothing whimsical about killing a cat, a dog, and almost killing a kid.

I've been working on learning the bassline to this song for a few days now, and I've finally got it under my fingers. To me a long time just to wrap my head around the main riff.

This movie was clearly an attempt to cash in on the popularity of the original Superman movie.

Someone just played me "Melancholy Hill" by Gorillaz. The chord progression isn't exactly like Canon in D, but it's enough to clearly be a ripoff. Further cementing my hatred for Gorillaz.
