Thanks for all of your constant support guys! I haven't been posting up a lot of vids recently as I've been so busy. I just got off of a Tour as Yanni as one of his lead vocalists. Please check out my 2nd channel http://www.youtube.com/lisalavie (Without the 1 at the end) I've posted up 3 tour vids to give you guys a behind the scenes look at my journey on the road.
Tons of things in the works, I can't wait to share new music with you all. Pretty soon I'm going to upgrade my equipment. The pre-amp that I'm currently using causes a lot of distortion when I sing high notes. Grrrr I tried to remove as many of the glitches as I can. Hopefully my recordings with be more crisp in the near future.
I love this song "Grenade". Bruno Mars and I wrote a song together last year before he blew up the scene. He is definitely one talented guy.
What song would you like to hear me sing next?

Lyrics: Bruno Mars - Grenade
Easy come, easy go That's just how you live, oh Take, take, take it all, But you never give Should of known you was trouble from the first kiss, Had your eyes wide open - Why were they open? Gave you all I had And you tossed it in the trash You tossed it in the trash, you did To give me all your love is all I ever asked, Cause what you don't understand is I'd catch a grenade for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah) Throw my hand on a blade for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah) I'd jump in front of a train for ya (yeah, yeah , yeah) You know I'd do anything for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah) Oh, oh I would go through all this pain, Take a bullet straight through my brain, Yes, I would die for ya baby ; But you won't do the same
Black, black, black and blue beat me till I'm numb Tell the devil I said "hey" when you get back to where you're from bad man, a sad man, That's just who you are, yeah, You'll smile in my face then rip the breaks out my car Gave you all I had And you tossed it in the trash You tossed it in the trash, yes you did To give me all your love is all I ever asked Cause what you don't understand is I'd catch a grenade for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah) Throw my hand on a blade for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah) I'd jump in front of a train for ya (yeah, yeah , yeah) You know I'd do anything for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah) Oh, oh I would go through all this pain, Take a bullet straight through my brain, Yes, I would die for ya baby ; But you won't do the same
If my body was on fire, ooh You' d watch me burn down in flames You said you loved me you're a liar Cause you never, ever, ever did baby... But darling I'll still catch a grenade for ya Throw my hand on a blade for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah) I'd jump in front of a train for ya (yeah, yeah , yeah) You know I'd do anything for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah) Oh, oh I would go through all this pain, Take a bullet straight through my brain, Yes, I would die for ya baby ; But you won't do the same. No, you won't do the same, You wouldn't do the same, Ooh, you'll never do the same, No, no, no, no

Band: Relient K Song: Pressing On Album: The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek (2001) Option Subtitles: English Lyrics, Traducción/Traducido en Español (Subtítulos/Subtitulado en Catellano), Google Translator Origin: Canton, Ohio, United States Genres: Alternative rock, Christian rock, pop punk, punk rock Years active: 1998 - present Labels: Gotee, Capital Records, Mono Vs. Stereo, Jive Associated acts: Ace Troubleshooter, Guerilla Rodeo Website: http://relientk.com/ Current members Matt Thiessen -- lead vocals, guitar, piano (1998 - ) Matt Hoopes -- guitar, backing vocals (1998 - ) John Warne -- bass, backing vocals (2004 - ) Jon Schneck -- guitar, banjo, bells, backing vocals (2005 - ) Ethan Luck -- drums, backing vocals (2008 - )
Relient K is an American Christian rock band formed in 1998 in Canton, Ohio by Matt Thiessen, Brian Pittman, and Matt Hoopes during the band's junior year in high school and their time at Malone College. The band is named after guitarist Hoopes' automobile, a Plymouth Reliant K car, with the spelling intentionally altered to avoid trademark infringement over the Reliant name.
The group is associated with the Contemporary Christian Music culture, most notably the Christian rock and Christian punk scene. Despite being a Christian band the group has performed alongside secular artists. The band has reached critical success with mainstream pop punk and alternative rock. The band's sound incorporates piano and acoustic elements; and the lyrical content often refers to God, Jesus, and the terms "You" and "Him" are used in reference to God. Since its formation, Relient K has released six studio albums, seven EPs, two Christmas albums, and one collection of rarities. The band has received numerous awards including a Grammy Award nomination in 2003 for Best Rock Gospel Album and two Dove Awards.
Relient K is best known commercially for their two studio albums which peaked in the top 15 of the US Billboard 200 chart. After signing with Capitol Records, they broke into the mainstream in 2004 with the release of Mmhmm, which debuted at #15 on the Billboard 200. In 2007, their fifth album brought the most success for Relient K, Five Score and Seven Years Ago debuted at #6 on the US Billboard 200 and sold 60,000 records in its debut week. The band has sold over 2 million records, with three albums being given gold certification by the RIAA. The band is also highly successful throughout the Christian Albums and Contemporary Christian Music charts. Their newest album Forget and Not Slow Down was released on October 6, 2009.
The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek Album The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek (often shortened to Anatomy by fans) is the second full-length album released by the Christian rock band Relient K. It was released on August 28, 2001, and peaked at #158 on the Billboard 200. On June 26, 2006, the album was certified Gold by the RIAA for sales in excess of 500,000 units in the United States. The cover of the original release is similar to that of the 1999 Ramones release Hey Ho! Let's Go: The Anthology.
The album continues the band's liberal use of pop culture references (such as the song "I'm Lion-O," which is about the popular TV series Thundercats). Song themes range from pop culture to Christian themes—growth in faith ("Pressing On"), backsliding ("What Have You Been Doing Lately?"), worship ("Those Words Are Not Enough," "For the Moments I Feel Faint," and "Less Is More") —and social themes—such as racism and persecution ("Failure to Excommunicate"), judgementalism ("Down in Flames")—to making excuses or blaming others for one's own faults ("Maybe It's Maybeline"). There is also a song about one's experiences in high school ("Sadie Hawkins Dance").
Gotee Records released a "Gold Edition" of this album on October 31, 2006 along with the release of a "Gold Edition" of Two Lefts Don't Make a Right...but Three Do on the same day. The Gold Edition of this album has remixed and remastered sound so that it is on par with that of Mmhmm, and it has a music video for the song "Pressing On". The team that remixed it is the same team that worked on Mmhmm.
"Pressing On" is a song by the Christian rock band Relient K, and it is featured on their second album, The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek. It is one of the band's most popular songs, and can be heard on Christian radio stations from time to time. The song was written by the band's lead singer Matt Thiessen in 2001.
The song was featured in the Power Rangers: Ninja Storm episode "Looming Thunder". It also appears in Big Air Freestyle, a motocross video game for Nintendo GameCube and can be heard on at least one episode of the television show Pimp My Ride. The song yet again appears in the episode of What's New, Scooby Doo? called "Gold Paw."
