Welcome to Bob Corbett's Youtube channel. In June 2010 Bob commenced a Music Video project intended to document his songwriting. We hope you enjoy the music and videos on offer here.

When performing solo, Bob is afforded the fun of exhibiting his live-looping skills. Many of his songs were written with his self created loops. It is a fascinating thing to watch Bob created the entire beds of songs and layers and layers of lush harmonies right before your eyes. There are many people using looping in their solo shows but none quite like Bob.

When performing with The Roo Grass Band, the audience is treated to a rich 4-piece acoustic sound. It's like a mix of Alison Krauss band, Union Station, meeting up with Paul Kelly and inviting Jackson Browne to sit in. The traditional string band is turned on its head when joined with live looping.

After a massive 21,000kms of touring in 2009, the four piece folk/country band from Newcastle started the New Year by releasing their new album Silver Lining. The album sold out of the first run of copies at The National, a festival that attracted over 50,000 people through it's gates over the recent Easter long weekend.

Silver Lining is Bob Corbett's follow up to the 2008 album Storyboard which went on to win six 1233 ABC Music Awards in the same year and helped jump-start his national profile.

Award winning song writing, musical virtuosity and a heart felt easy-going nature affords Bob Corbett & The Roo Grass Band a welcome point of difference in Australian folk/country music landscape and Silver Lining shows off every bit of the group's abilities.

The recent arrival of new band member and two times Australian bluegrass guitar champion, Robbie Long has injected even more talent into an already formidable ensemble featuring Dave Carter (bass & banjo) and Sue Carson (violin & mandolin).

"It has been such a pleasure to take these wonderful musicians around Australia and see audiences discover these monster talents for the first time. It's something we've all known for so long here at home." Bob said.
