I offer my not so humble opinion about various controversial topics, and here is one of them.*
Nationalism is a mental poison, a disease of the mind. It is fed by propaganda of various kinds, and promoted by those who are only interested in fowarding their own agendas at the expense of others. Beware of propaganda, and it's many guises. It is by its very design created to paralyze your logical capabilities and ability to reason. By fabrications and embellishments, it will lead those weak-willed individuals into a limbic, irrational state of mind, to follow the herd at the behest of those who wish to bend the masses to their whims. It is an amusing notion that there are those who interact either positively or negatively with other individuals/races/countries according to familial ties, or the lack therof. Know that although there may be exceptions, ultimately people follow opportunities rather than ideals such as loyalty and honor. You have a closer bond to someone who shares your beliefs and thought processes, more so than someone of your own family/country/race who does not. Do not be naive. Take pride in your race/ancestry, but understand that there exist others who may be of a different origin who may have a similar psychological makeup. In an oversimplified statement, there are essentially only two types of people in this world, those who deserve to die, and those who deserve to live, War does not discriminate between the two, and many die who should have lived on, and conversely, many individuals who are nothing more than a waste of resources, barely sentient parasites, if you will, go on to live and further fill this world with their wretched progeny. War is futile, but hate and violence are not. Hate with direction and purpose with the means to bring worthless forms of life to a violent end, is not to be feared or shunned. Love those who are your friends and family, Hate those would bring pain to you or those whom you care about. Show indifference to those to whom you are not well aquainted with or are indifferent themselves. Elegantly simple, and brutally effective. It doesn't get more fair than that, my friends. *No offense intended for the majority that take the trouble to read this far in my profile (my like-minded brethren or those who are merely curious), but for those of you who are a little bit thick, all the above is merely a summary of my philosphy that an individual should be judged accordingly by their own actions, and not by our foolish preconceived notions of how insert any ethnic group here should behave. This is not to imply that one should adopt the "politically correct" view of mindless acceptance of any way of life, no. However, a comprehensive summary of my personal outlook on life would simply be too extensive to post here, so one must simply be satisfied with my above statements.
