Blyk Music Update - July / August 2009

Blyk Music subscribers can look forward to our biggest and best ever month of essential music giveaways. As always we will be bringing you exclusive ringtones and wallpapers from the UK's leading artists like Mercury Music Prize nominee and office favourite Speech Debelle; Pop newcomers Mini Viva, who's catchy first single "Left My Heart in Tokyo" is gonna be everywhere over the next few months; plus the big man himself makes a welcome return to Blyk Music - that's right Dizzee Rascal will be sending you some exclusive goodies this month, so make sure you reply to his text when it arrives!




Also Blyk Music will be giving away more exclusive tracks, signed CDs, gig tickets and money can't buy prizes than ever before. August is jam-packed with freeness from the likes of The Streets, Calvin Harris, Pitbull, The Burbs, Chipmunk, Brazen (Roll Deep), Metric, Martin Solveig, Rhythm of London and shed loads more. We don't want to give spoil the surprises we have in store for you, but all we'll say is keep your phone on because you won't want to miss out. Seriously. Massive. Business.




Some of the best things we can remember (which isn't saying much) since we started Blyk Music would be the 150 members who won tickets to an intimate Beat Stevie gig with Mike Skinner and friends. Everyone in attendance (and those who saw it on Channel 4) will agree it was a messy night out. What about the 30 or so members who got to star in DJ Ironik's music video for "I Wanna Be Your Man? Then there were the winners who got to chill and watch CSS and Jimmy Cliff slouched on a beanbag on stage at London's RISE Festival. Certainly the lucky member who won the competition to touch (but not grab) Mighty Boosh star Noel Fielding's hair won't be forgetting that day for a while...

Too many other artists to mention (over 100 of them in fact), but we'd also like to thank all the labels and managers who have contributed towards making Blyk Music the worlds first and (lets be humble here) best network-wide free music service. We hope you've had as much fun showing off your exclusive freebies to your mates as we had sourcing them for you.
