I always cast my ballot for this 1952 version of the song. I know Doris Day recorded the original one in 1948 or 1949. But to me this is the original; it sounds firm and solid when compared with the other. I also adore her amazing photos we see here.

Only a few years ago did I know about Grandma Moses in an art gallery in Japan. But I have become a fan of the artist. All of her paintings look warm and kind, depicting the good and old days of America. I think she was born too early.

Why was this original deleted after all? The deletion has just halved the pleasure of "The Wizard of Oz."

I am afraid this waltz is not as well-known to us as other waltzes like "The Blue Danube" or "The Tales from Vienna Woods." But this surely retains its beauty and class; they keep oozing out every time I listen to Waltz 443 composed by Johann Strauss junior.
