The only rabbits that size i have ever seen are the giant Flemish, could be one of them.

I have a dalmatian and a rabbit, their virtually inseparable, they play in the garden and whenever i get back taking her for a walk the first thing she does is look for him (he is a house rabbit!!), i think she sees him as a puppy or just a good playmate and dalmatians are very loving and caring ...
