About BlueCollarPolitico
It's just interesting things I have found on YouTube and elsewhere that have to do with politics. Some are subtle and some are blatant, but all are things that interest me.

About this user
I'm just an average Joe who has an opinion on the politics that drive our world.
I started paying attention to politics back around 1985. I was a new father and felt the pressures of providing for my family and realized that there was more to life than just having a good time. I guess that is called growing up.
Until that point I felt more aligned with the Democrats, although I was not a registered voter. Being an avid fun-seeker-atheist who takes a pro-abortion position makes me a better fit with that party. Does it not?
However, during the mid to late-1980's there was a huge anti-constitutional movement sweeping the US of A. There were politicians out there wanting to limit my constitutional rights! And I just could not let that happen.
Ted Kennedy and Joe Biden were the two most notorious politicians on my shit-list. Along with Sarah Brady (of Handgun Control, Inc. infamy), they were attempting to circumvent the US Constitution's Second Amendment. Because of my love of the shooting sports, I was compelled to finally register to vote as a Republican. After all, it was the Republicans who were defending the US Constitution and I just felt it was my duty to join them and the National Rifle Association on their crusade.
I've been with them ever since.
I am still an atheist and have a pro-abortion stance. But I am very much still a Republican. That is somewhat of a paradox and makes me somewhat of an outcast within the Republican ranks. It also totally excludes me from being labeled a Conservative. But I feel that those two social issues do not affect my life as seriously as most others. So I just deal with my "moderate" positioning amongst all those "right-wingers".
It wasn't until the attacks on 9-11 that I started listening to Boortz, Hannity, and Limbaugh. Until that time, it was - in retrospect - the mindless dribble of Stern, Ron & Ron, and the Monsters on FM talk radio. 9-11 was a wake-up call; a call to arms - so to speak. Actually though, I just wanted more news coverage on the radio while I worked on that fateful day. So I turned the dial to AM.
Upon doing so I realized that there were actually people out there that thought like I did on everyday issues. I found that AM radio had people talking to me that I agreed with on many issues. Besides, it was informative and educational. I was won-over to AM!
Although my feelings on abortion and religion seem to favor the Democrat Party, my feelings for strong individualism, personal responsibility, constitutional rights, lower taxes, and smaller/much less government weigh much more on my agenda. These mostly play right into the Republican's hands, but, truly, make me an ideal constituent for the Libertarian Party (It's too bad they just cannot get a candidate of noteworthy success). So, in the mean time, I'll just stick with the Republicans and keep trying to sway their votes my way.
As food for thought, I just want to throw a quote out there that I admire. It comes from Winston Churchill, who was British Prime Minister from 1940-1945 and 1951-1955 (one of many titles held). "To be conservative at 20 is heartless and to be a liberal at 60 is plain idiocy."
Yes, we all grow up at some point. Some sooner than others. And that quote capsulates it perfectly.
