Founded in 1971, Blue Bear School of Music is the Bay Area's leading destination for aspiring musicians of all ages and skill levels who want to enjoy learning and playing rock, blues, jazz, folk, pop and other styles of music. Blue Bear provides innovative and affordable music education programs to anyone, regardless of financial means, who is motivated to sing or play or craft a song. We offer group classes, band workshops, theory, songwriting, sightsinging and ear-training, classes for children and teens, plus private lessons for a wide variety of instruments, including guitar, voice, piano, bass, drums, sax, clarinet, mandolin, ukulele, banjo and flute. Blue Bear's teachers are successful professional musicians and passionate educators with extensive performance, songwriting and recording credits.
