1 Sep 1993 - Gilly is visiting Ross at the carriage house to discuss the legalities of David's case. Ross explains how the D.A. wants a conviction, but there are ways to help David's chances. Ross doesn't want Gilly to get ahead of herself and insists that they're going to do everything they can to help David. Ross is surprised and annoyed when Blake walks to the front door with her suitcase. She explains that she was packing her things and is moving out. Gilly notices the tension and decides to meet with Ross later, but he insists that she stay because there's nothing going on with Blake. Gilly offers her sympathies to Ross and assumes Roger was the problem, but Ross says no.
Blake stops by the Journal office looking for Holly, but Alan-Michael doesn't know where she is or when she'll get back. At first A-M thinks Blake wants to show off her engagement ring but then he realizes how quiet Blake is. Blake reveals that Ross knows about her one night stand with A-M. Blake explains how Ross found out. A-M apologizes, especially since he knew Ross was going to propose (as Holly had told him). Blake shows A-M the ring, which prompts him to go run an errand, insisting that Blake and Ross belong together no matter what. Later, Ross and Gilly are still discussing David's case when A-M arrives, much to Ross' annoyance. A-M invites himself in to talk to Ross, but Ross throws him out and slams the door in his face.

30 Aug 1993 - Blake arrives at her mother's, but Holly is gone. Blake is stunned to see a half-clothed Ross coming out of Holly's bedroom. Ross says very little, so Blake turns to leave but she stops to ask why Ross is there. Ross doesn't see much point in explaining himself, but Blake insists. Ross still isn't talking and Blake realizes how angry he is. She thinks it's because she pushed too hard about the marriage proposal. Blake tries to explain why she acted the way she did about the proposal, but Ross can't tell when she's acting and when she's not. Blake insists that she uses her act to protect herself from people rejecting the real her. She realizes that her act isn't working with Ross because his rejection hurts no matter what. Blake pours out her heart to Ross, telling him how much in love with him she is. She's getting unnerved by his silence and the cold look in his eyes. Ross reminds Blake that she asked for the truth and tells her that she has too many acts for him to know the real her. Blake insists she's never been more honest in her life and can't believe that's all Ross has to say. Blake asks if Ross is seeing Holly, but Ross just walks away. Blake calls him a coward and Ross responds that she's a cheat. Blake waits until Ross gets dressed and then insists he tell her what's going on. Ross explains that her ultimatum worked and he was headed to the cabin to propose, but he learned about her one night stand with Alan-Michael from the limo driver. Blake becomes increasingly distraught, and Ross calls her a fraud - she looks great but she's all surface. As he leaves, Ross tosses the ring box on the couch. Blake is devastated to see the engagement ring inside and rushes after him.

26 Aug 1993 - Eve comes to Holly's to pick up Michelle. Eve commiserates with Holly over her migraine, and Holly insists to Michelle that she'll be fine alone. Eve and Michelle leave just as Ross stumbles to the front door looking for Holly. Before he can explain himself, he rushes to the bathroom to throw up. Holly is confused when Ross gets upset at Blake's name. Ross explains that he found Blake at the cabin with Alan-Michael and Eleni. Ross puts the pieces together and realizes that A-M didn't fight the divorce from Eleni because A-M was unfaithful with a certain someone and didn't want that secret to come out. Holly plays dumb until Ross realizes that Holly knew and almost told him but A-M bought her off with a partnership in the Journal. Still drunk, Ross explains how he discovered the affair. Ross pities himself and says he should have listened to Holly before risking his heart on a pretty new thing. Ross decides he's stand-offish because he can't withstand a broken heart. His defenses were all coming down with Blake, so he couldn't ward off this hurt. Later, Holly admits that she's forgiven Ross and she thinks he should forgive Blake. Ross says he's confused and starts coming on to Holly, who has to push him off. Ross suggests Holly likes forceful men (like Roger). Offended, Holly kicks him out but quickly realizes that Ross is still too drunk to drive. He tries to apologize, but she just sends him to the bedroom to sleep it off.

25 Aug 1993 - [Continuation from 24 Aug 1993] Ross shows up at Vanessa's, upset with her advice to Blake about getting him to marry. Ross feels the advice was dangerous for someone like Blake. Vanessa admires Blake's recklessness, and when Ross laughs, she reminds him that she was someone like Blake once. Vanessa accuses Ross of pulling back the more she loved him when they were together. Ross complains about Blake being childish, so Vanessa thinks he's just making excuses again. She's pleasantly surprised when Ross reveals that he does want to marry Blake.
Later, a happy Ross has rented a limo to go to the cabin and gives directions to the driver, who's familiar with the area. Ross is half-listening as the driver tells him about driving a really pregnant Italian woman up to this area during the blizzard last winter. The woman wanted to catch her husband in bed with some young tart. When the driver realizes he's driving the same route now, Ross pays more attention to his story. Ross asks if the driver was ever a witness for the divorce, but the driver says he was never contacted about it again. At the cabin, Blake and A-M are waiting outside while Frank helps Eleni get her things inside. Back in the limo, Ross realizes the pregnant woman was Greek instead of Italian [Eleni], and the driver confirms Ross' description of the husband [A-M]. Frank apologizes to A-M for punching him and leaves to get the car, while Blake gets Marina's diaper bag for Eleni. Ross asks the driver about the other woman as they pull up to the cabin. The driver is amused to recognize the pregnant woman, her husband, and the tart, leaving Ross stunned.

24 Aug 1993 - [Continuation from 23 Aug 1993] Blake and Eleni continue arguing about who's staying and who's going. Blake can't get Eleni to tell her what happened with Frank but rules out infidelity, saying Eleni's had two faithful husbands. Eleni reminds Blake of her one night stand with Alan-Michael while he was married to Eleni. Blake thinks it doesn't count since Eleni had dumped A-M and Blake thought Ross had dumped her. Eleni isn't happy when she realizes that Blake also slept with Frank once upon a time, but Blake points out that she was Frank's second choice too. Eleni apologizes for being rude and wonders if she did the wrong thing by leaving Frank. Blake advises to never storm out on a man unless you're sure he'll follow, but she's sure help is on the way for Eleni. Later, Blake and Eleni are awakened by a car, but they don't see anyone outside. Alan-Michael watches them go back inside the cabin.
The next morning, Blake calls Frank at the diner to tell him about Eleni and realizes that A-M never called Frank as she had asked. A-M shows up with breakfast, but Blake is upset with him. A-M tries to distract her, saying that Ross is coming with an apology and proposal, but Blake doesn't believe him. A-M insists that he tried but failed to contact Frank, so Blake reveals that Frank is on his way. Later, A-M is taking Eleni home just as Frank arrives and sees them. Frank decks A-M, who falls over a sun-bathing Blake.
