Just a tip from a qualified tech....NEVER use clippers on acrylic, it can crack and damage your natural nail. Just go nuts with a file (I don't use drills, they can cause serious damage)

As a starter kit, I would probably recommend a tinted moisturiser. A foundation can be quite heavy for a young persons skin.
