Having taken up both guitar and vocal lessons recently, I'd like to be able to share that part of my musical journey with you, and since BlindNoobPianist is such a piano-centered channel, it just seems appropriate for me to create a new channel just so I could expand beyond piano -- uploading videos of guitar playing and hopefully, singing...once I've gathered up the courage for that, lol:)
I'll still be leaving BlindNoobPianist as it is though, since I have links to these piano videos on other sites -- it really wouldn't be nice to greet an interested potential viewer with
"This channel has been removed."
So yeah, I'll re-upload these piano videos on "tuningmylifearound" just to keep track of things, but it will still remain up on BlindNoobPianist.
Anyways, friends, I hope you would join me on my new channel. It's kinda boring now with just one lousy guitar recording, but I'll be uploading more, and at least there would be variety now;) So hope to see you there!

Like my name suggests, I'm a beginner pianist, though I'm not completely blind, I've lost most of my sight, enough to qualify as being legally blind.
I'm 22 and have just started learning to play the piano in late February this year (2010). After about 4 months' worth of weekly introductory piano lessons, I started a basic pop piano improvisation course, which I stopped temporarily after 2 months or so -- that happened about a month or two ago.
To cut a long story short, I'm hoping to use my channel as some sort of a video diary to keep track of progress in my piano playing. Unlike most blind or visually impaired musicians/pianists you may have read/heard about or seen, I'm no genius in music...not even close. I'm just an ordinary sight-deprived person struggling to learn to play an instrument:D
If you like my videos, please subscribe to my channel;) That's how I know I'm on the right track - or at least I'll know I'm doing something right:)

I wish I could say classical, but all I really used was the net and michael aron books grade 1,2,3,4 for learning some theory - - - and Im still amazingly bad at it lol !

I started playing at the end of May last year but haven't been consistent with practicing which is probably why I have only, like, seven songs learned xD The songs you play are beautifully performed - - any plans for your next piece to learn ?
