I am a huge His Dark Materials trilogy book fan, and a Golden Compass movie fan.
My current goal in life is to fix what NewLineCinema screwed up. I want to find the REAL Lyra, and film the REAL golden compass ending the way it should have been. Also I am also considering shooting certain scenes from all three books with the real Lyra that I am certain is out there somewhere.

I hate Dakota Blue Richards with a passion.
She should have never gotten the part of Lyra and here are the reasons why:
The REAL Lyra is supposed to have BLOND hair and BLUE eyes.
Dakota has RED hair and BROWN eyes.
In the books, Lyra's face is described as having "The look of the very young, mixed with a deep, sad wariness."
Dakota's face doesnt have that AT ALL.
Also, the real Lyra is described as being short for her age and thin of stature.
Dakota is of average weight, and actually quite tall, as you can see in the very first scene of the film that she is WAY taller than the boy playing Roger.
Overall, Dakota Blue Richards is the exact OPPOSITE of what the real Lyra should look like.
