How about some heli stats...I know this is old but I'd love to know more about the heli to know what it takes to get this kind of smooth movements. servos, gyro, pitch curve, governed throttle curve? I have three 500's...I'd like to set one up for learning more precise manuvures.

Hey Mr.!! Nice bird!!!! I fly all my 500's on the 3000mAh 5S batts.( Turnigy...best bang for the buck battery I have..) Which Scorpion? I'm running the HK-3026 V2 1400kv on my HC500, with a 14T pinion, and the HK-3026V2 1900kv with a 12T pinion on my T500. Nice flying!! As usual.

Nice work on the HK.. My HK is about 95% Align now. The only things left are the side frames and the boom, and I have 2 sets of each waiting for the swap....Mines a monster.. love it.. but lets face it.. whats not to love about an Align 500ESP!! Nice flying!!!

@7RTFHELI Yep.. its easy... I used a heat gun, but any good heat source will soften up the servo arm, then slowly put a Z bend in it. It keeps the geometry intact so the servos wont out run each other.

CP heli's not only push air down, they have negative pitch as well, push air up, so in flight he can go from pushing air one way, to another VERY quickly. Oh, and, if your running the stock, brushed motor, you need to put a bend in the arm of the elevator servo so it doesnt rub on the motor. @rosgana The motor on the 500 is the Turnigy 500 Typhoon 1800kv... with the HK500CMT belt version, you'll need a 12T or maybe even a 11T pinion depending on the battery you want to use. I'm using 3000mAh 5S 30C lipos.. so a 12T will work, if you go with 6S, you'll have to find an 11T. The kit com...

Heck, you just buy the head assembly and the tail assembly alone its like $80, then add in Glass blades, canopy, tail boom, etc... it can add up to more then the $100 bucks for a second bird. Hope we get to see more vids after its all done!
