Freedom? Are you crazy?
Bold statement. Back that up with any actual cases, events or people involved in any such legal hassles. Please. I would absolutely love to see any evidence of your claim. As is, I am forced to conclude that you are merely parrotting a chicken hawk talking point that has never had any basis in reality, but rather is a construct of the Hollywood Spy-Caper film genre. Our Courts are well tooled to handle modern day needs. With the BS "conspiracy to commit" charge, thought crime can be punished

Freedom? Are you crazy?

We not only can deal with it thusly, we must. "Terrorism" is an amorphous and unclear boogie man label right now. We must clarify it's criuminality in intent and action and prosecute those engaged in it. That should have been the 1st step in any "war" against it. Instead, through induced fear (terrorism), the powers that be created a "Cry Witch" defense to cover their criminal asses. Irony was Osama defined it. Go to A Post Apocalyptic to see

Rather than scream obscenities at a country so far away, why not call your Representatives and Senators and tell them that unless they cease all interaction with the "Anti Defamation League", the worlds largest terrorist org, you will campaign against them in your community? Call today, tomorrow and everyday. That is the first step!!

Oh, and once again... Highlighting other atrocities in no way justifies the one we are discussing here. Misdirection is a ploy, not a valid part of an argument. What America has done in the past can not excuse it's present policies.

Freedom? Are you crazy?

It has been applied to anyone deemed an enemy combatant by the Executive Branch. Citizen or not... Think it through- A despotically corrupt admin may arbitrarily lock up anyone for life for no reason... That does not bother you? What if Obama decides to purge Republicans once in office? As it stands, he will be able to. I was brought up with pride in our freedom. Can you blame me for being outspoken against those who took that from us?
