This LP was a big one. Not just due to it being my longest LP to date, but also because this was the LP where my commentary practically became what it is today. This was also the LP where I saw a sudden boost in my viewership. All in all, I'm pretty sure I can say with confidence that this was my most popular LP.
You can tell at the beginning that my commentary style was changing. For a while, it sounds kind of forced and annoying (still not sure where that came from, but it happened in my early streams too). I also had a new headset and apparently didn't know how to use it for a while. I can't really say things started out very strong.
But then, I nailed it. Around halfway through the LP I finally realized something that I find very important in making LP's.
Just keep talking.
It sounds simple, but for some reason it kept me going. In past LP's I would always end up having long pauses in commentary due to me trying to think of something important or relevant to say. While these are things I should still do, I always felt that the dead air wasn't good. A good part of the reason my commentary goes off on strange tangents now is because it allows me to make sure there are no extended periods of dead air in the commentary.
Pikmin 2 is probably one of my absolute favorite games. I certainly feel really glad that I was able to do the game justice as an LP.
