Available to the public on January 2011, BLACK OIL will be releasing their explosive second album, Not Under My Name. Fueled by political aggression and an eye on environmental awareness, BLACK OIL is making strong statements on the album with songs like "Amazonia" and "Terrorization," already in radio circulation. Recorded and produced by Logan Mader (CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, GOJIRA, DEVILDRIVER) at Edge of the Earth Studios in Hollywood, Ca., the follow-up to 2008's debut self-titled album will leave no question about the strength of metal in today's over-saturated music industry. Formed in January 2007, BLACK OIL has travelled across South America with tours of Brazil and Mexico, including heavy radio play on stations like XPresion 88.7 and Radio Vertical 104.7. Currently, To' No Palco Rock Show on ALLTV in Brazil is giving away an original BLACK OIL ESP guitar to mark the release of Not Under My Name and the video for "Terrorization," coming 11-30-10. BLACK OIL's music is drawn from years of experience, both musically and culturally. Guitarist and founder, Addasi Addasi, has travelled well over thirty countries, picking up many styles and riffs along the way. All these cultures have added to the powerful sound of BLACK OIL. Vocalist Mike Black completes the picutre with gutteral growls and a defiant yell heavily influenced by the voices of Cavalera and Ansalmo, yet retaining a vocal originality that makes the band stand apart. The release of Not Under My Name will mark a new era in metal. .
