Well, I think that the technique must be the slave of the feeling, JP is one of the few guitarists who expresses and feels music in the shred landscape, but some musicians express themselves in a different way than others in my opinion. I love almost all kind of music, but I don't think that Jeff Beck could be a genious of expression just because he's not incredible technique skills, he's a great guitarist because of the music he writes and the way he feels the guitar. I love jp's music because of its energy, because of the melodies and the structures of his compositions. Jeff is really great, I expecially love his ballads, a different kind of music with the same strong feeling, well it depends on how you are feeling while you're listening to his songs :)
Do you like John Mayer? I think that he's one of the most talented musician of our age, and his Strat...sings! :D
