About Me:

The person who takes the banal and ordinary and illuminates it in a new way can terrify. We do not want our ideas changed. We feel threatened by such demands. "I already know the important things!" we say. Then Changer comes and throws our old ideas away.

Yeah thats a complex issue. But in the end God can only do things that are Theistically moral and can only command things that are Theistically moral. So not doing what God says is by definition Theistically immoral. So its basically a mute point. Its a matter of definition in the end.

I dont agree at all that Theistic morality is deontological. Its closer to virtue ethics. The stuff Im working on now is about the moral argument and Thiesdt morality in general. And the most important issue is that Theistic morality and lets call it secular morality are completely different concepts all together. Its not the same concept but in diferent world views or with diferent sources but totally different concepts labeled with the same words like morality, good and evil. Its not even comparing apples and oranges but morenlike comparing apples and chairs. Its not even categorically the same

Why do you just think that those kind of negative aspects like those of the cardassians are enough to say that is representative of humanity? Ok I get it when you see that people are capable of doing the most horrible things your faith in humanity drops and you think everyone is like that. But I don't find that entirely rational because not everyone is capable of doing such things. It depends on the kind of person you are. Some are capable of being decent people. Our humanity is made up of both good and bad not one or the other.
