I like this vid, but wanted to highlight that the Quagga's extinction wasn't down to natural selection but man. Man hunted the quagga to extinction for its hide & meat - thankfully, conservation efforts were put into place for the remaining zebra species, but zebra overall remain endangered.

Have to say - quagga isn't a crossbreed. It was a subspecies of plains zebra. That's why they're doing a breeding program to try & "draw out" the genes for the quagga colouration from plains zebras. Scientists did similar things with the Tarpan & the Auroch.
