You are 100% correct when you say as a white male in this country I will never have to experience racial profiling. If I did I would have been shot dead a long time ago. It is just my opinion that things are not as bad as it was in the past. These things still happen and it is not right. I also think it is more of an individual thing than an organizational thing. I know we spoke about this before but it is worth mentioning again. In 1999 a 22 year old West African immigrant living in Bronx, New York was gunned down by 4 NYC Police officers in the hallway of the apartment building where he lived. He took out his wallet for I D and one of the cops yelled gun and that was it. Between the officers 41 shots were fired, 19 of them striking and killing Amadou Diallo.

Hey Stacey, how are you. I agree with you about police brutality, but I don't think it is an agenda except in rural areas with small good ole boy police departments. In some large departments there is police brutality, but it is more of an individual thing. Too many police officers think the badge gives them the power to take matters into there own hands. Believe me I don't care for the attitude of a lot of cops that I come across. I've had several run ins with the so called law (arrested for asaulting a police officer). About 4 or 5 years ago I almost jumped out of my car on the Long Island Expressway and cracked this cop who kept giving me a hard time. Needless to say I don't care too much for cops. From where I see it though, things are a lot better than they were in the 60's.
