I USE PIXELAN SOFTWARES
Time again for MR BIG. Not the copies from U.S. This is the original Oxford, United Kingdom based band. Leader and singer of the band is DICKEN or Jeffrey Robert Pain. Already in 1974 released their first single, Lucky Man.
First album was released in 1975, Sweet Silence, must say that is a Classic Album!!. In 1977 album no.2 was coming out, "Mr Big" or "Photographic Smile".
The last name was the U.S name. That album was including their amazing worldwide hit of ROMEO. Also" Feels like coming home" was a great hit.
In 1978 was the third album ready "Seppuko", produced by IAN HUNTER.
Before that Mr Big where toured as support for QUEEN:s "A night At The Opera-tour". In that time EMI records wasn´t satisfied with Rock Music, they rather wanted a punk band or New Wave. They didn´t released the third album even if it had been a big sucess with Mr Big second album and their no.1 hit ROMEO. So it took 23 years before Seppuko were released by Angel Air. Crazy.
Dicken started a new band in 1979 BROKEN HOME, amazing band too.
But thats another story. Mr Big were started up again in 1989, but it took 7 years before there were an album out "Rainbow Bridge"-1996. But truly, it was in reality a soloalbum with the best Dicken songs from the last 6-7 years.
No it took until 2006 before christmas there were a live act with Mr Big.
In 2007 DICKEN:s album "From Mr Big to Broken Home and back.."the best songs from whole DICKEN:s career and also include som new songs from Mr Big.
The brand new album "Bitter Streets"were released in June 2011, Relesed by Soundfactor Records and distributed by Universal.
well worth to wait for. Now the band tour Britain again and hopefully they will have a great sucess, they and Dicken deserves it. This is the new recorded version of Romeo and it has a small gospel touch and its a wonderful ballad.
