Have you ever walked around in Jasper National Park at night? Have you ever been in the wild of this wonderful place while others were sleeping? On March 26, 2011 the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) officially designated Jasper National Park a Dark Sky Preserve (DSP). Encompassing over 11 000 km2, the park is the world's largest preserve, the eighth in a family of Dark Sky Preserves within the Parks Canada network and the eleventh in Canada. If you want to learn more about Jasper National Park, the world's largest dark sky preserve, go to: http://www.pc.gc....

This video gives the viewer an animal's eye view of the highway fencing, overpasses and underpasses that have been built in Banff National Park to reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions and to ensure that animals can continue to roam freely within the Park to find food, mates and good habitat. The video also features amazing images of animals captured by researchers' remote cameras on the highway crossing structures.
