I think the Youkai laughter in this version is clearer. Anyway, this version is less epic, which makes sense. This isn't an epic battle between the Player Characters, this is Maribel fleeing for her life, being chased by a youkai rabbit(Reisen?).

Interesting use of instruments ZUN doesn't use often. This song sounds nice. Calm, and fitting for a conversation between two scientists such as Maribel and Renko. Or any Seinfeldian conversation between two people of intelligence. Also, I didn't know they'd have Reimu dolls on sale 20 minute...

I like this one better. It sounds prettier, fits a final stage better. Not that the old one was bad. I also like how ZUN went for a pretty final stage theme rather than an epic one there. It fits outer space better. Also, the piano totally sounds like stars twinkling. Even if twinkling star...

Imagine if EoSD used these sounds instead of its normal ones.

I've also noticed that Touhou stage themes follow a specific pattern

First: Sets up the game

Second: A faster and darker theme than the first stage

Third: A lighter and happier theme than second stage

Fourth: Really awesome, and excite...

Huh. I never knew there were lyrics. I think they fit. Anyway, I like this song. It's happy and fits the theme of Touhou nicely. And it fits ZUN, too.

This song doesn't fit PCB's Stage 4. It sounds too dark. The beautiful theme fit better there. It fits the theme of this album though. It might have fit in IN. Let's just make this Lily's unofficial battle theme, kay?

Actually, Flandre, this IS the original. ZUN wrote it in his comments on the song in IN that the song was from Ghostly Field Club. He really just looped it and removed the weird background sound. I also think he made it echo slightly less. I think this version sounds better, though. Anyway, ...
