THE PARADOX

Love can be both kind and cruel, joyous and sad, the heights of elation and the depths of madness.
It can truly be both sublime creator and uncaring destroyer.

LOVE is....

....the tender hand that strokes you with a softness like that of a gentle breeze, caressing and carrying the sweet aroma of a summer storm.

LOVE is....

....the rigid fist that can destroy you with the thunderous force of a hurricane, stripping away and uprooting everything in its path.............. Showing no mercy.

Yet to avoid love for fear of its destructive potential would be, to us, unthinkable. To forsake love in the interest of emotional sanctuary is far beyond our capabilities.

AND so....

We go on living and loving. Exposing our souls to the threat unabated. Some of us defeated, and many of us losing only to love again. We endure the pain for fear of losing the pleasure.

Our souls, like seabirds, are tossed in the endless swirl of the storm. Helpless against the currents and content to be so.
We know the storms will come and go forever.
The thunder and the lightning will ebb and flow, we will press on, without a momentary thought of retreat. For we know, and more certainly each time, that the calm that follows is worth enduring a thousand storms.

Love is truly eternal, as is it's....

I have great patience, and respect for others - even those who disagree with me. I have no patience for anyone who doesn't respect others, or who is willing to intentionally hurt others.

I try to walk the right way, but I don't have to have everything my way.
