About this user
About Bill Morton:
I'm a long-time resident of Rogers Park who has been working for the local business Quest Network Services for over ten years. I also founded the non-profit organization Citizens for the Adelphi Theater to save and re-open our former vaudeville turned single screen treasure. I love good friends, music, technology, good food, and the lakefront. I love living in Rogers Park, but I am fed up with the trash, crime, waste, and corruption that comes with it. I am a registered voter.
About Rogers Park in 1,000 Words:
There are plenty of good hardworking people in Rogers Park, lots of students and good businesses too.
There are also a lot of criminals, violent characters, and dirty politicians that need to be focused on, to make Rogers Park a better place.
My blog often gets pigeon-holed as negative for showing our neighborhood in ruin via: photographs, but I feel that these issues have to be addressed rather than ignored to improve life in our community.
Rogers Park may not be the safest or prettiest community in Chicago, but ignoring basic issues such as violence, gang activity, and political corruption, will only allow it to become worse.
