In my mind Yo Yo Ma, and Dupre are good cellists, but they dont compare to Rostropovich..He is the king of the cello in the 20th century...Pieces were written FOR him, Jaqueline had emotion in her playing, but Rostropovich by far was the best and most talented..

This is such a beautiful cello concerto and with such an emotional story being the last piece Finzi wrote..I couldnt resist buying it for myself :)..What a great work.This piece definitely deserves more attention as one of the greatest concertos of the 20th century.
