USED TO WATCH THE HIGH CHAPARRAL WHEN IT ON THE TV. WHEN I WAS IN OSTFRIESLAND WAS GOT DUTCH TV AND THAT WAS WHEN I LOVED TO WATCH AIN'T HALF HOT MUM SERIES. LOVED THE SERGEANT MAJOR. WISH I COULD GET THE SERIES ON DVD HERE IN THE STATES.

unfortunately, and because of the Politically Correct Police i fear it will never be shown on British television again which is a BIG shame. there is NO way this show is racist. as far as i'm concerned, it is just funny. anyone who tries to argue it is racist has totally missed the point which is that the loud-mouthed Sergeant Major might 'seem' as if he is the bully but if you have the intelligence to be able to understand the subtlety of the writers dialogue and the situations they are in, it is in fact the Sergeant Major who ends up being the butt of the jokes and is made to look the fool. the very same can be said for shows like Rising Damp and Love Thy Neighbour etc...

My apologies for my previous post here. It turned out that there was something wrong with the drivers on my computer. Fortunately, the problem is fixed now and I can hear the High Chaparral video files again. Yay! I have loved this show from the beginning, and I thank you so much for posting the files here. Now I have all but 6 episodes out of the series -- Tornado Frances, A Way of Justice, The Glory Soldiers, Once on a Day in Spring, A Piece of Land, and Friends and Partners. Is there any chance that you will be posting these here? Anyway, thanks again!
