Karen is playing the drum in the background as she sings the song. She always wanted to be known as a drummer, rather than a singer. But, with the voice she was blessed with, she never got her wish. I suspect that, now that she has a different perspective, she smiles as she hears our adulation...

Another song that shouldn't have a video. When this song was released, there was no MTV...no music videos, yeah, let that rock your world. It was so great on the radio. It's simply not the same now...

I forgot to mention... This was just music then. No MTV or maybe when MTV was an infant. The video didnt exist, only the music. I still believe music was better before the video. Yes, rants of an old fart who still remembers. Look up the song "video killed the radio star". It's true.

what a lovely voice, yet it lacks the depth given by Elaine Paige to this part. A very close 2nd. Had I not heard Elaine first, I could easily be convinced by this rendition.

The voices with pure, absolute pure tone are so few and far between. Such a tragedy that Karen's demons laid her in her grave. Oh how I miss her.

An old man longs to hear Karen again... not recorded, but in person, again. I pray that when I finally go to my resting place, that this voice accompanies me to that place.

I miss Karen's voice. I grew up listening to her and her voice called to my heart. I was heartbroken when I heard of her illness and death... The nightengale was silent and the world is a darker place without her.
