Born in Brooklyn, NY, Originally James A. Muldrow. Big Al was raised in Queens. He aspired to be a producer since the age of 12, making his beats on a software that was out back then called Direct Music Producer. After many years of going through different software Big Al finally invested in an MPC and upgraded his studio a little bit.

Joining the Marine Corps at the age of 17 became a minor setback in pursuing his goals of becoming a music producer. But with this, he had time to sharpen his musical skills and had money to purchase equipment.
