Wayne Speedstock is the glib & assertive top sales agent of Duplimax, maker of the Midwests elitist copy machines. During a reluctant weekend retreat on the surface of Spirit Lake, Wayne discovers the frozen corpse of Liam Smith, salvaging his wallet as the body sinks to the icy depths.
