The Berkshire Wind Power Cooperative Corporation owns the 15-megawatt Berkshire Wind Power Project in Hancock, MA, and is comprised of 14 Massachusetts municipal utilities and the Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company (MMWEC). These non-profit, public power utilities sell electricity at cost to consumers in the Massachusetts communities of Ashburnham, Boylston, Groton, Holden, Hull, Ipswich, Marblehead, Paxton, Peabody, Shrewsbury, Sterling, Templeton, Wakefield and West Boylston.
