About Me:

Our tag line If you can dream it, we can make it stands very true. We do all kinds of FX for film: On set FX, animatronics, mold making, life casting, props, weapons, masks, gun shots, smoke FX, creature make-ups, causality make-ups, etc. The list goes on and on. In here anything is possible, physical or digital. Benzidream is like an HQ for the artists. When the studio gets contracted for jobs and we are not sure how to make things happen, a new member is born. As much as possible there is no cant. The best thing about Benzidream, and this was conceived when I was back in school was that the knowledge that was being taught to us could be applied to different areas of many businesses. So we formed the custom fabrication department. As far as custom fab goes the sky is the limit. This can include: outdoor sculpture, facial and limb restoration, architectural restoration, custom car and bike, commercial film making, molds for culinary, product displays, concrete work for landscapes, likeness busts, wall hangings, 3D objects and art for interior design, etc. The list never ends with possibilities. Benzidream is a true one stop shop.

Benzidream film production.
Benzidream's first feature was The Northern Wing a documentary on the haunted house "Terrors by the Lake". Filming was nothing spectacular just a simple documentary with interviews and good humor. The Northern Wing was a two time bronze Telly award winner in 2005. While we were working on the house we shot cable ads for promotion. The 30 second commercial 10 Years of Terror also was a two time bronze Telly award winner in 2006. From then to now we have done many smaller things including: An instructional film for The Seiler Revelation Dental Microscope and Life Casting Otis a fun short documentary on us casting the back of a 400 lb. live alligator at the Pittsburgh Zoo. The biggest and most challenging film that Benzy is directing now is the series show PALE. The Pilot episode was a two time gold Davey award winner in 2008. The series is a whole different animal compared to feature films. It is extremely challenging to work on, but is so worth every second. As of now, Benzy and Benzidream's two other writers (Justin Schwab and Sean Patrick) are tossing around ideas for a few scripts. So keep an eye out for updates!
