About this user
"I'm not where I'm going but I'm far from home" seems to be more than just one of Benjiman's lyrics. Instead it appears to epitomise his journey. From the backwoods of Lacomb to the streets of Los Angeles, Benjiman has traveled the Gamut and then some. Proof that no matter what anyone tells you, it is truly God that writes the story of your life and ministry. Fresh off the 2005 BEC Recordings release "Activate", Benjiman seeks to grow spiritually and musically on his sophmore release "S.K.R.I.P.T." It is an acronym for " Spreading Kingdom Realities In Perilous Times". Independently minded and ready to share his heart on subjects, as diverse as God's calling, to feeling seperated from Christ, to anxiety; Benjiman steps beyond past releases and prepares for the road ahead. " I never really knew coming into this what I would learn along the way", Benjiman says. "You think you have a good grip on the sacrifice it takes to enter into ministry, but you really don't know untill you experience the ups and downs, dissapointments and victories that come along with the road". Touring all over the United States and Canada, the last 2 years gave the "new" artist plenty of time to build on lessons and connect with other bands and ministries. " Alot of bands gave us some opportunities to go out there and perform on a national level, like Seventh day slumber, Pivitplex, Falling up, Kutless, and the list goes on". Benjiman got his fair share of stage time at premier music festivals as well. "Spirit West Coast, Joshua Fest, and Beachside Summerfest have all been so good to us over the last few years," Benjiman recalls, " every event gave us a platform to minister on a level we did not experience before that time." New friends along the way didn't hurt either. This new record will prove just that. With collaborations from the likes of Shawn Mcdonald ("stones") and Allen Stone ("hands up, hands up") and more in the works! Plenty more touring is on tap, as well as, Benjiman builds on his headlining "time to rise" tor of '06 and heads out in May of '07 with Olivia The Band, Innate and Allen Stone. "The only way, we will ever fullfill our ministry is to just go out and do it", Benjiman says, "when God opens doors it is our responsibilty to walk through them and be good stewards of His call."Country
