Some good things in that Unsu. IMHO Shotokan should not play the All Styles game too much with long stops. IMHO it's better to blend the kime points with slight pauses rather than long & tedious stops.

That slip at 0.59 was all the judges need to make a decision at this level. Personally I think he modified the kata too much with 'dead stops' to please All Styles judges. Should have gone with his regular JKA Sochin.

I like the syncronised support team in black almost as much as the kata. Both did a good job!

@Kazzrulz69 - I just don't know what to make of this. What brought on the group kata? Did someone in the crowd shout in Polynsian "get a job" or something?

I've been on these boats on the Kuma River. However I can not remember actually going past the town of Hitoyoshi. Maybe we did & those loud folk from Nagasaki who kept forcing Shoju onto me, are to blame? What a great river trip!!!!

If you want to improve in karate or any human movement activity you must practice in a thoughtful way. Boxers (and karateka) train with the heavy bag for impact training. And boxers ...

@StrumFruit - I've got the same guitar & love most things about it. The JH has that odd reversed switching, which I'm tossing around asking a tech to change to normal. Do you find it easy to work with after a while or have you had yours altered?

I'm trying not to brag here but I have a BB1200 (matt finish) & what a guitar it is, even in my average player hands. I decided 'bugger it stop stuffing about' saved hard & Invested the coin in my joyful hobby. BB1200 & Vox tube. That's it! Shut the door.......I reached tone heaven.

I like the way you hit that same blues rift because it allows me to hear the difference between the various Matons. I have to be honest & say that I'm in love with my BB1200. It makes me sound way better than I deserve to.

I'm hearing very good reports about Shun knives. And I saw some in a knife shop but I want to check further before ordering.

I gather making movies about food is difficult without driving the viewer absolutely crazy. But this bloke just seems to enjoy his work too much for my liking. ;-) If only I could find a job like that!
