With the doctor unable to complete the surgery and Hoss near death, a nearly inconsolable Ben tries to persuade Shanklin, a competent doctor, to save his son's life. Meanwhile, Jamie, who witnessed the shooting, searches for Joe who's intently focused on a poker match.
