Kurt Weill's, September Song - Rob Bourassa
This was one of my dad's favorite tunes. Kurt Weill wrote the music, but Maxwell Anderson wrote beautiful lyrics for it. I wouldn't ruin the song b...
Wow. As a guy who has loved Django and later forms of jazz guitar since I was a kid in college (a long time ago), this is a real treat. Thanks so much for posting. And thanks to your dad, too.
P.S. The riff at 1:09 is SICK!!!!!!

Pregnant Women are Smug by Garfunkel and Oates
Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci sing about smug pregnant women.
Hey, pretty funny. But you should know that the two of you come off as very smug in this video.

Chuck Berry - Johnny B. Goode (Live 1958)
Chuck Berry - Johnny B. Goode Live live 1958
This can't be 1958. The model Gibson he is playing is an ES 335 with block fret markers. That version wasn't available until 1962. As to the riffs, Chuck owes a lot to T-Bone Walker. Everybody owes somebody.

Amazing! Really enjoyed it. Hope it didn't take years. Really dig the Sgt. Peppers-style pallor that some of your background selves acquired. One note: Really listen to Brian May. His vibrato on held notes is a distinctive part of his playing and worth emulating. Thanks!

Pharma Creative Review
A satirical take on pharmaceutical advertising from an agency insider. The first in a new series.
This very funny. So true and so sad. I've had this conversation at least twice a year for the past 25 years.
And they wonder why the standard of advertising in the category is so low.

Wondering where the reverb is coming from since the '56 tweed doesn't have any. Sorry, Gravity Jim, not only do vintage guitars sound different from the stuff on the guitar center wall, they even sound different from each other. Don't mean any disrespect to somebody who produces music for a livin...

Fender 57 Tweed Deluxe
Fender 57 Tweed Deluxe with Stratocaster and Les Paul, chimed and dimed!!
Wonderful demo. Great audio, riffs, and specificity regarding guitars and settings. I keep reading about the interplay between volume controls on these amps. Have you tried this, and if so, what kind of results do you get? And one more thing: in a future demo, can you demonstrate the difference ...

G.E. Smith Telecaster in to a Tone King Continental
More Sunday morning noodlings. This instrument sustains and rings like a little piano.

Chet Atkins - Mr. Sandman (TV 1954)
in concert
Miraculous technique and really beautiful photography. Looks like Technicolor. Are you sure it's not from a movie? TV in the 1950s didn't look like this. However brilliant it is, I often find Chet's playing antiseptic. It's so clean and restrained. No fire. Not much emotion.
