Best advice "know what you need permits on and what you do NOT who ever YOU contract"!
FYI - YOU do NOT need permits to lay tile, do granite work, indoor and outdoor.
I think most home owners know today what a permit looks like, where they are found..and there is a fee... you pay before you start...
