Musician, Composer & Sound Designer Robert Harsch
About Me:
= = = = = = =
Keyboard synthesizer is my primary instrument (Korg Triton Pro76 & Roland Juno-D), followed by electric & acoustic piano & other keyboard instruments.
If not keys, I'm apt to be on bass guitar, most often a Michael Kelly Dragonfly Acoustic 5-string Fretless strung E-A-D-G-C ("The Outdoor Type" & "Ian Anderson Vid Vote 1"). 2nd bass is an Epiphone El Capitan Acoustic 5-string Fretless: B-E-A-D-G. 3rd bass - Applause AA-40 Acoustic short-scale, either in standard E-A-D-G tuning or "Drop-D": D-A-D-G ("Goodbye Blue Sky" & "Dusty Dawn"). Last is my Rogue 406-Pro 6-string Electric: B-E-A-D-G-C, which probably doesn't get played as often as it should.
I sing somewhere in the Baritone neighborhood, and occasionally play trumpet & flugelhorn.

I've played for rock bands, jazz combos, concert /marching bands, drum & bugle corps, theater orchestras, church services, weddings & funerals.
- - I've worked as a theatrical Sound Designer-Engineer for UM's MT Repertory Theater, Missoula Children's/Community Theatre, and The Alabama Shakespeare Festival, among others, and have composed music for several productions, including "The Grapes of Wrath", "The Gift of the Magi," and "Dial 'M' for Murder".
- - I currently serve as President of Local 498 of the American Federation of Musicians of the US & Canada, and as the Local's delegate to the Missoula Area Central Labor Council.
- - Other interests include greyhounds (especially retired racers) and outdoor photography. The background image on my page is a photo I took of the Garden Wall in Glacier National Park, flipped and repeated into 4 quadrants.

I still have a limited supply of CDs of my 1996 album "Montana Soundscapes" - send me a note if you'd like to get one via snail-mail.

It's been a while and I have had your 'Subcontinental Drift' forever in the back of my mind. I have been wanting to revisit it, but never feel ready to do it justice. I will never do it justice. This piece, in my opinion should be making you millions! It's so awesome. I decided to hope for a good dance and gave it a whirl.
I'll be posting it soon. I can't thank you enough for this wonderfully composed piece that resonates deep within.
Forgive my inadequate improvisation.

Love always,
Diana
How's everything going?
Sending my love,
Diana
