getoffmyfrog Either divide the room in half under the pipes and make half soffits against the wall on both sides or re-route the drain lines and water lines in the way, takes longer but sometimes it is a necessarily evil! Good luck w/ the project!

richardjschmitt@gmail.com Eddie. I will soon be finishing a basement and I have watched a few of your videos. Huge help. One question though... Plumbing is the lowest hanging obstacle which runs about six feet high. The client would like to have more room. Any other suggestions other than the soffet ladders that may give me a few more inches? First basement finish job and I'm only 25. I must have a perfect finished product.

@jerrypease I would pour a continuous footer across that wall with interior and exterior footer drains. Then build your new exterior wall closing off the 1st door and framing the second new door location. I would finish this new exterior wall as normal construction. I would then cut a new sump pump pit into the floor inside the new room and connect my new footer drains into this new sump pit that should have a good sump pump installed in it. This is the sure way to stop any future water problems from occurring.

Hey Eddie. My basement is slowly turning from a 2 car garage to a finished basement. My biggest issue is the Garage doors. Because of them I have water coming into the basement when it rains and I believe it's from water running down the side of the house, since I've put drain trenches and a drain tube right infront of the doors. I don't want to go any further because I want to ensure the water won't come in anymore. I would like to frame one door in (poured concrete foundation) and frame in an exterior 2door. Have you had to do this much and is there anything in your videos that covers this specifically? I can do most of what needs to be done since I do have electric and construction background, but this isn't something I want to guess I'm doing right. Any recommendations?

Eddie, I am in the same boat as TheSparty000. I purchased the pro video set on 12/16 and was hoping to get the other 2 new videos if possible. Thanks they are great. What is your email ?
TheSparty000 (3 weeks ago)
Hi Eddie.

Do you use 2x6's for all framing of half walls, or 2x4's and insert 2x6's on either side to enclose the columns? Based on vidoes appears to be 2x4 with 2x6, but wanted to make sure.

@TheSparty000 Yes. Just shoot me your email buddy and i will send you the newly added video in the Pro Video Series No Charge! Thanks again for purchasing the basement finishing training videos!

Hi Eddie. I recently purchased the Pro Series on January 8th, and I notice that now the series has 20 videos. Can I receive the additional videos that have been recently added to the series?
Thanks !!
