Life is a product of the mechanical forces around us. It starts from the big bang, to the creation of stars and planets through gravitational and nuclear forces, all the way down to the chemical interactions of the elements and energy. Over vast amounts of time, the simple processes become more complex. The ones with greater complexity survive. Through breeding, mutation and natural selection they evolve and diversify. Our only purpose in life is to survive.
