As a kid Barb Barton wanted to make movies. Well, she never did take it up professionally but has a great time filming her good friend Helen Roy (Wikwemikong First Nation). Her videos are entertaining as well as educational...how to make some favorite Anishnabek recipes and learn a bit of the Ojibwe language as well. Helen teaches Ojibwe language at Michigan State University and devotes her life to saving this language from extinction. She is also a musical performer, half of Diiva miinwa Davis. Barb is also an accomplished singer/songwriter, guitarist, and performer whose music has been touching the lives of people since the mid-1980's. She has won several Michigan music awards.
