There's certainly a big chance he was Jewish since Judaïsm was the norm in the regions where he lived. But that doesn't even matter because Jesus turned out to be a humanist. And that's really what I don't understand. Why aren't Christians acting like humanists? A lot of them act like they are superior to the followers of other religions. You can interpret all you want but Jesus did believe that all people where equal, whatever their beliefs where. If he even existed at all offcourse.
